Career & Technical Education Scholarships and Tuition Awards

DEADLINE: February 1, 2019


CTE Scholarships and Tuition Awards are for outstanding CTE students in the Utah

CRITERIA:
  • Current Utah resident legal U.S. citizen
  • High school senior, currently enrolled in a Utah public high school
  • Eligible to graduate before September 1, 2019
  • In the process of completing or continuing courses in a CTE Career Cluster(s)
  • Clear occupation goal (additional CTE training)
  • Complete online application
  • Letter of recommendation (2)
  • Transcript
  • Portfolio
Please check to make sure that the college/technical college you plan to attend has CTE scholarships available.

Utah Elks Association Scholarship

Deadline: February 1, 2019

Applicants will select one scholarship category for which they wish to be considered from the following:

  • Student who will attend a Technical/Vocational School Program
  • Student who has special needs (letter from a doctor/professional stating the nature of the special needs condition must be included).




Applicants DO NOT need to have family members associated with an Elks Lodge.

disABILITY Scholarship

Deadline: March 1, 2019



The "disABILITY Scholarship" was created in 2013 to enable high school students with disabilities to go to college and target a career in the technology industry. Each year this scholarship is awarded to promising high school seniors who plan to attend a vocational or academic college in the US (or a school with a US affiliate) and have a financial need.

Award Amount: $1,250 (up to six awards)

Criteria:

  • Utah high school seniors are eligible
  • Complete and submit online application
  • Have taken Financial Literacy
  • Create an informative and creative YouTube video about keeping college debt to a minimum.

Scholarship for a Senior who has Taken Action to Protect Civil Liberties

DEADLINE: MARCH 15, 2019


  • Be a Utah Resident
  • Current high school senior planning on entering an accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking student
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. If the GPA is less than 3.0, the applicant must submit an explanation for the lower GPA
  • Have proof of a strong commitment to civil liberties through some form of activism addressing such issues as equality, racial justice, free speech, religious freedom, tolerance and privacy

For students 15-17 enrolled in Drivers Education during the current school year either in the private sector or in a Utah public high school.

One (1) Overall winner of $6,500
Two (2) finalist $1,500 scholarship awards

Minimum of 3 scholarships ranging from $500 to $2000 dollars.

Criteria:

  • High school senior
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (transcript required)
